R & R: RESOURCES AND RECALLS

Don’t Delay, Register Your Car Seat Today! 📆

Like just about any product manufactured in this day and age, child restraint systems (aka car seats) are subject to product notices and safety recalls. While most are considered small by recall standards, there are occasions where the recall is major. Wouldn’t YOU want to know if YOUR seat was affected by a recall? Me too! ✅

📌 Well, the good news is that this is an easy fix! And it starts with you. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers, only YOU can register your new or currently used car seat, ensuring that you are promptly notified about future recalls and guided through the process. The only way a manufacturer can get in contact with you and notify you about a safety recall is if your car seat is registered with that manufacturer. ✅

So, don’t delay! Register your car seat today! 📆

Here’s how:

➡️ Fill out the registration card that came with your car seat (possibly attached to the seat or flying solo in the box). Pop that card in the mail 📬; no postage required.

➡️ Register your seat online with the manufacturer, using either the information on the registration card, OR by using the information found on the white Date of Manufacture label located directly on the back or bottom of your car seat. ✔️

📢PRO TIP: Use this opportunity to take a photo 📸 of your Date of Manufacture label and save it to your phone 📲 or computer 💻 so that it’s handy. Most of these labels end up on the back or bottom of your seat, requiring you to uninstall your seat in order to obtain the information should it be needed. Save yourself the time and curse words!

Unsure 🤷‍♀️ about whether you registered your seat? Have you moved 🏡 since you would have completed the registration process? No worries! You can always RE-REGISTER a currently used car seat. It only takes a minute and it’s always better to be safe than sorry!
